I am proud to be part of the professional team at Crowthers Coaches. I began my association with Crowthers Coaches in June 2007 after several years within the freight rail transport industry. All my working life I had almost always gravitated towards working with the travelling public. I have owned and operated a country taxi, worked extensively within the Victorian Country Rail network as a conductor then as a Station Master and have driven route buses and coaches in Perth, Western Australia. An opportunity arose to move across to the freight rail industry in Western Australia where I obtained my train drivers authority.

Whilst working within the rail industry as a Freight Train Driver, I felt that there had to be more to my career advancement than just the glory of being a Train Driver and the money that went with it. As a Train Driver I was missing the most important part of previous working environments, the travelling public. I have driven route buses and tour coaches and took great pride and relished the experience of meeting new and return customers every day. The freight industry could not offer that to me and I was bored. Predominantly, my role within Crowthers Coaches is Sydney Day Tours for overseas tourists. Every day I am meeting people from all over this world who want to see what such a wonderful city and country we have. I feel very fortunate, as an Australian that we have such a great country and we have people that want to visit our shores. I take my role as an Ambassador of our country very seriously, but find it very easy and rewarding work. Often I may also be required to do extended tours, school excursions or social outings and this variety is also something that is relished within the ranks of coach drivers within Crowthers Coaches.

Having been involved in various facets of the Public Transport and Customer Service Industry over many years, I have found that Crowthers is a company that allows the employee to become an integral part of the organisation. Crowther’s staff are treated as individuals, and each member of the Crowthers team is encouraged to develop and feel the pride of being part of a first class coach operation within the Sydney area. I am very fortunate to be part of this exciting team.
